Every agent has its own mailbox — a real email address that Goose can use to send, receive, and manage emails.

How it works

Your agent gets a dedicated email address when you set it up. Goose can:
  • Send emails — Draft and send emails on your behalf.
  • Receive emails — Incoming messages appear in the mailbox, and Goose can process them.
  • Manage threads — View and navigate threaded email conversations.
  • Draft replies — Goose can draft responses for you to review before sending.

Using the mailbox

You can access the mailbox from your agent’s sidebar. It works like a standard email inbox:
  • View all incoming and outgoing messages
  • Read full email threads
  • Compose new emails with a rich text editor
  • Manage drafts

Email in workflows

The mailbox is especially useful for workflows like:
  • Outreach campaigns — Send personalized multi-step email sequences.
  • Follow-ups — Goose tracks replies and can draft follow-up messages.
  • Inbound processing — When someone emails your agent, Goose can automatically triage and respond.

Auto-reply and approvals

You can configure how Goose handles incoming emails in Settings > Mailbox:
  • Auto-reply — Let Goose draft and send replies automatically.
  • Approval workflow — Goose drafts a reply, then notifies you (via Slack or Telegram) to approve before sending.
See Mailbox Actions for more details on configuration.
